Tech stocks still have a way to go!

I used my free trend chart to plot semiconductor stocks over the last 2 months.

0992.HK is Lenovo, WCBR.L ($)/CYSE (£) is a cybersecurity ETF, HYNX.F is Hynix, 005930.KS is Samsung and IWVG.L is an All World Value ETF whose top stock is 13% Micron MU (earnings due on Sept. 30th 2026).

Nearly all are trending upwards this month!

AVGO Broadcom may be good value right now - it has moved only 8% in the last 12 months but earnings have doubled!

IWVG ETF Holdings

The IWVG ETF has performed very well recently and it's not difficult to see why if you look at their top 10 holdings...

There are some very nice value stocks in the top 10 which are underestimated by sentiment but are very profitable. Micron is thought to still have 50% gain left in it and other memory companies still have some room too. HP (HPE) is in this list and their AI servers are also selling well.

Memory stocks have been strong over the last year, is it now time for the server manufacturers?

ETFs to buy now for a bullish future

Here are my picks for a complete portfolio of ETFs that I am adding to now as a UK investor:

We have IKOR for Hynix and Samsung memory, SEMI for a broad range of top chip companies, COPX for copper which is needed but in short supply, IWVG for value stocks incl. Micron, BNKE for EU Finance, WCBR for cybersecurity which I see as a picks and shovels type sector because with the use of AI tools, top notch site security is essential. Finally I have IITU which is the top S&P 500 Tech companies - this has been a long term favourite of mine and is now beginning to pick up after a 'weakish' 2025 performance. There is some overlap in Tech companies, so this is a Tech-strong and AI-heavy pie but with a tilt to other sectors too!

Assuming equal weighting, this portfolio would have returned 65% in the last 12 months but I would not expect that much for the next 12 months (perhaps 20-35%).

You could add gold SGLN.L if you wanted some hedging and maybe substitute EQGB for IITU.L to hedge the USD.

This is not a long term portfolio. It may be good for 1-2 years only and should be reviewed every few months.

Obviously, this would be a risky/volatile satellite pie with the bulk of your investments in an all world ETF such as WRDD (dist.) or VACD (dist.) or equivalent. For an ISA/SIPP you would pick an equivalent accumulating ETFs like HMWS (acc.).
