A very bad week for all stocks, especially Tech stocks this week! Gold and metals showed a sign of recovery this week but were still down over the whole week.
I think (hope) the market will recover next week. This is not a bubble popping. The demand for AI is strong and I expect many businesses to start announcing higher annual profits next year due to the use of AI and a reduction of their workforce for 'greater efficiencies'. I especially expect +10% increase in companies involved in retail, finance, manufacturing and healthcare. As more AI data centers get connected (plugged in to power), I expect share prices of Tech companies to pick up again.
I am happy to continue to hold gold and metal miners too, and also some defence stocks like BAE and Tharisa.
If the market continues to go down, I will top up my Invest account from my savings (probably £5k) and buy more stocks. There will probably be a rally around the USA Mid-Term elections in early November. Tech results in the last month have been good but the markets have the jitters over the borrowing debt used to pay for the capital expenditure. There would be no problem if these new data centres could be plugged in and earning income, but at the moment there is a shortage of power, meanwhile interest on the debt has to be paid and the assets (CPU\GPUs) are depreciating.
I think shares in HP HPE, Lenovo and Dell will recover first as well as Seagate and Western Digital. Memory stocks may take a little longer, but I have topped up my IWFV ETF which has approx. 15% in Micron as well as other 'value' stocks.

Due to some stops I had set a few weeks ago, I had some cash from the sale of Meta, Cat and Eaton. As well as topping up on World Value ETF IWFV, I bought Regeneron and more Lundin Gold. I also bought a token buy of AXTI AXT which was strongly tipped for growth and so I will keep aneye on it.
