StockWatcher
You may have noticed that I have added a StockWatcher tab. This is experimental and under development but feel free to experiment with it - alerts are sent to your mobile phone via a free NTFY service and received by a free NTFY mobile app (no SMS tel. number or email address is required but an internet connection is required). Your stocklist is not sent to the cloud or held on a server, but locally on your browser (so you will need to set up the list twice if you have a laptop and a mobile phone).
Hidden features
- Click on a stock ticker to see a chart at uk.finance.yahoo.com.
- Click on the SEND NTFY heading text to turn on/off all NOTIFY tick boxes
- Clear an alert value field and when you next click an arrow, the current value of the share will be used (saves you having to type in a large number).
- You must use CLR TRIGGERS to reset a previously tripped alert.
- Use Compact button to just show all stocks (and for mobile phone).
- If market is closed the stock ticker will be in a lighter colour and unbolded
- Clicking some column headings can change all values at once e.g. 24HR and 1MIN alerts or NTFY headings.
- If you get a NTFY alert, clicking in it will open up a yahoo finance page for that stock ticker.
If you exit the page, the watch service will stop - you must keep the page open in your browser.
