Ventoy 1.0.22 is released (no more 10-sec wait!)

'longpanda' has released the latest version of Ventoy and the 10-second delay has now been removed.

You can update to this new version by downloading the new Ventoy-1.0.22-Windows.zip file and drag-and-drop it onto the \e2b\Update agFM\Add_Ventoy.cmd file on partition 2 (or if you have the latest agFM beta, simply click on the Update_to_latest_Ventoy_version.cmd file).

  1. Yes, but a note in red letters " [unofficial ventoy]".
It seems that longpanda doesn't like the integration of Ventoy into other multiboot tools.

    1. Its not that he doesn't like it, it is that he does not know if the USB drive was made correctly and thus will work correctly.

    2. P.S. I haven't tried, but maybe using your own theme would remove the [unofficial ventoy] message?

    3. OK, but Steve Si has integrated it very well and it works fine. I expected nothing else. Thanks for that.

    4. No, that's not possible but I added a red bar at this point in my theme and so it is not visible anymore.

    5. It might have been possible to display [unoficial ventoy] for 5 seconds when starting Ventoy.
Now the suspicion could arise that it is a cracked software.

    6. No one wants to wait 5 seconds every time. The message just says unofficial not 'hacked'! It is fine by me. If someone reports an issue with Ventoy, they must firs reproduce the issue on an 'official' Ventoy USB drive.

  2. I have a e2b/ag+ventoy usb with ventoy 1.0.21 and had that annoing then i proceed to downgrade to 1.0.20 and i still got that message. I had to wipe the partition and start over. idk why. nonetheless... it does work fine with .20 .21, gonna test my isos with 0.22.

on the other hand, i tested the newest strelec in e2b as a standard iso (without changing extension name) and works fine.

Strelec provided an updated x64 .wim file with firadisk driver, in the previous version, the x64 entry could load desktop icons and startmenu entries unless you load said iso with .isowim but you only had x32 and x64 entries (no grub options). I even tried with .isofira and the problem persisted.

Check the link below and take a look at arthurpl, zeromant's (that's me lol) and strelec's replies

you should add that iso to tested payloads.

    lot's of hugs from venezuela.

    1. Downgrading Ventoy may cause issues because the Legacy boot core.img file will only be compatible with the latest version of Ventoy - but UEFI should be OK.
