E2B v1.92c Beta available (with PimpMyDrive.cmd!)

v1.92c has a few, very small changes and also a new file has been added - \_ISO\PimpMyDrive.cmd.

This script must be run from the E2B drive. It copies a selection of Sample mnu files to the \_ISO\MAINMENU\PIMP folder.

Note that the Change Theme menu requires the current \_ISO\MyE2B.cfg file to be overwritten - so take a backup of the MyE2B.cfg file first (the script will take one backup for you)!

The extra menu items that are added are shown in this menu as 1-21.

If you want to remove any of the new extra menu items, simply delete the corresponding .mnu file in the \_ISO\MAINMENU\PIMP\ folder.

To change the wallpaper, you need to copy suitable files to the \_ISO folder first.

True Hide will disguise a FAT or NTFS partition so that Windows will not be able to access it (but grub4dos still can). This prevents anyone from trying to access or copy the contents unless they boot from it and then UnHide it.

If you have a system where the standard F10 Power off menu entry does not work, you can try the new Power off menu entries. Please let me know if you find such a system, so far I have not heard of a system where the standard F10 shutdown (halt) command does not work...

Boot to Windows Recovery will attempt to find the Recovery.wim file on any Windows partition and boot to it (a Windows 8.1 copy of bootmgr must be added to the E2B drive). This may save you from having to carry multiple Windows recovery ISOs for all the different versions of Windows. The Recovery.wim file does not need to be in a Recovery partition, it is usually found in a Windows 8/10 OS anyway.

PassPass is added to the menu too (for bypassing Windows local account passwords).

Test Themes

If you allow the MyE2B.cfg file to be overwritten, you can use the 'Change Theme' menu to select from a variety of different themes.

E2B 'Change Theme' menu - These options overwrite
the \_ISO\MyE2B.cfg file with new contents.

The v1.92 download is in the MS OneDrive Alternate Download Area.

Some of the Themes also have animation and use large fonts. If you want to try some more animations, checkout the Flags, Mr Bean and DNA animation examples from the E2B website page here.

[Edit] I found a few issues with Win10 Creator and the second small partition which caused the Make_E2B.cmd to pick the wrong partition to copy the files to and so 'freeze', so v1.92d fixes this. There is a new version of RMPartUSB, RMPrepUSB and Make_E2B.exe too!
