Top ETFs in 2025 and JustETF.com guides

Justetf.com have issued a number of comparison guides for 2025 results.

For UK tax payers, you will probably want an accumulating ETF inside your ISAs and SIPPs, but distributing ETFs inside a GIA account (e.g. Trading 212 Invest account) because this saves having to work out the ERI on all of your accumulating ETFs).

Note that these Justetf guides may not include hedged ETFs and may be filtered (not aimed at UK investors). For instance, compare a hedged S&P 500 with the best unhedged ETF for 2025

For 2026, I am using unhedged USA ETFs however.

WARNING: These guides may not list all ETFs - e.g. PSRW was the best FTSE All World (17% 1 yr) but is not listed for some reason! My favourite UK FTSE ETF PSRU (24% 1yr) is also not listed.

I think however, for 2026, I will need to go more to global/world ETFs and the commodity and value sectors.

See my previous blog for my current thoughts.

The S&P 500 was not that great for UK investors in 2025 due to the USD/GBP exchange rate, however this should favour UK investors in 2026/27. The only issue is that the US Tech sector dominates the S&P and is currently deemed to be overvalued.

I will soon be publishing a blog on what ETFs I will be buying and holding for 2026 - so stay subscribed!

My comparison chart for 2025

This chart compares a hedged and unhedged S&P 500, a dividend ETF, a developed markets ETF and FTSE ETFs inc Vanguard.

But here is the 6 month chart for H2 2025, apart from the Vanguard FTSE ETF, there is not that much difference between all the ETFs...

So for 2026, unhedged is looking better than hedged for the UK investors, All World may be better and Value\Dividend ETFs could make up a good part of a 2026 portfolio.
